Campaign Chair - Lou Bloxom

I’m honored to serve as Chair for the 2025 United Way campaign on the Eastern Shore. As a former teacher, I’m kicking things off with an acrostic poem using the words “UNITED WAY” to highlight the values that drive our mission—unity, education, nonprofits, and you. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community and make a lasting impact.

So here I go:

U is for United – United so that we can build a stronger and more connected community.

N is for Nonprofits – 100 Nonprofits throughout the region have helped since 1963.

I is for Investing – Investing in the Eastern Shore presents a strong opportunity for success.

T is for Together – Together we are able to improve the quality of life for the residents ofthe Eastern Shore.

E is for Ensuring – Ensuring that those we serve have equal access to education, income and good health.

D is for Donations – Donations, any amount, is giving back to your community.

W is for Working Together – Working together with other agencies we can educate and make an even greater impact.

A is for A bridge between those who aim to help the Eastern Shore’s community of families and institutions in need.

Y is for You – You + I can make a valuable difference in the lives of our neighbors + our community. Let’s do it!
